Terms & Conditions: Thermotec Plumbing and Heating Ltd

Validity: Quotations are valid for 30 days. Work must commence within 90 days of acceptance, or the price may be subject to revision.
Scope: Quotes are based on a non-intrusive survey. We assume existing systems are in good working order. If faults are discovered during work, or if relevant facts were withheld, we reserve the right to charge for necessary rectifications.
VAT: All prices are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate unless explicitly stated as "VAT Inclusive."

Deposits: For installations exceeding £1,000, a deposit of 25% is required to secure the booking and order materials. This deposit is non-refundable once materials have been dispatched to us.
Final Payment: Payment in full is due immediately upon completion of the quoted works.
Late Payment: We reserve the right to charge interest at a rate of 8% above the Bank of England base rate per month on all overdue accounts, plus a fixed late payment fee to cover administration.
Retention of Title: Ownership of any materials supplied shall not pass to the Client until payment has been received in full.

Cooling-Off Period: In accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations, customers have a 14-day right to cancel from the date of acceptance.
Emergency/Urgent Work: If you request that work begins before the 14-day cooling-off period expires, you acknowledge that you waive your right to a full refund of labor costs incurred up to the point of cancellation.

Pre-Existing Faults: While all reasonable care is taken, we accept no responsibility for faults or failures occurring in existing pipework, fittings, or equipment due to disturbance caused by the new works.
Pressure Changes: When connecting a new combination boiler to an existing system, the increased pressure may identify pre-existing weaknesses. Repairs to the existing system in this event are not included in the quote.
Power Flushing: Power flushing is a cleaning process; however, it can reveal pre-existing pinholes or weaknesses in aged radiators. Rectification of such leaks is subject to additional charges.
Gas Safety: Prior to work, a gas soundness test will be performed. Any non-compliance with Gas Safety Regulations found must be rectified and may incur additional costs.

Access: We require unrestricted access to the property. Delays caused by restricted access or other trades not under our control may be subject to extra charges.
Making Good: We will "make good" holes formed during work, but our quote does not include re-decoration, casing-in of pipework, or matching existing brickwork where flues are removed.
Flooring: We will lift and relay carpets, but no allowance is made for re-stretching. We accept no liability for damage to laminate, vinyl, or tiled flooring that must be disturbed to gain access.

Workmanship: Our labor is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of completion.
Materials: Materials and appliances (e.g., Boilers) are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure annual servicing is carried out to maintain these warranties.
Client-Supplied Parts: We accept no liability for the failure of materials supplied by the Client. Any time lost due to faulty client-supplied parts is chargeable.

We process your personal data (Name, Address, Email) to manage your bookings via our CRM (Fergus/Acuity) and to issue Gas Safe/G3 certifications. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Unauthorized Use: All text and images on the Thermotec website are our exclusive property. Unauthorized commercial use of our content will incur a retroactive licensing fee of £1,500 per item, plus £250 per month for continued use.
