Mortimer is a village and civil parish in south Berkshire, sitting close to the Hampshire border and just south of Spencers Wood and Silchester. It comprises the main village of Mortimer, the hamlet of Mortimer Common and the smaller settlement of Mortimer West End. Mortimer has a railway station on the Reading–Basingstoke line which makes it a popular commuter location despite its rural character.
