OUR TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. We will take care during the work, but are not responsible for any issues with existing pipes, fittings, or equipment due to the work.

  2. Our quote assumes connected systems are in good shape. If issues are found during the job, we may charge for fixing. If the client omits important system facts, we may charge for fixing.

  3. Removing, clearing, and reinstalling any built-in cabinets will incur additional charges unless otherwise stated.

  4. If we need to access floors under carpets, we will lift them and put them back after. We won't re-stretch or fix unless stated. For floors with certain coverings, we won't reinstate unless specified.

  5. During the project, we may need to shut off water, gas, or electricity temporarily. You'll be informed ahead of time, and we'll keep the downtime brief.

  6. During our work, we will fix any damage caused, but we do not cover redecoration. We may not match the old brickwork after removing boiler flue terminals.

  7. Casing or painting not included for new pipework.

  8. We need full access to your property for the work. Delays from limited access not previously informed may incur extra fees or extend the project timeline.

  9. If other contractors cause delays, it may lead to extra charges or project delays beyond our control.

  10. Work will be done in one visit. Additional visits due to client request or uncontrollable circumstances will cost extra and can delay completion.

  11. Materials remain our property until paid in full. We may take legal action for payment.

  12. No overtime work unless stated or for our needs.

  13. All project start and duration estimates are approximate and subject to change due to unexpected events like emergencies or factors outside our control. We are not liable if we are unable to meet client deadlines..

  14. The quoted work is guaranteed for 12 months for design and workmanship faults. Materials have supplier guarantees. Client's legal rights are not affected. Existing equipment is not covered by this guarantee.

  15. Certain items may be named, but we can provide goods from a different maker, as long as they are suitable for the intended purpose.

  16. Client-supplied items will be checked in front of the Client. Any issues found will be reported to the Client, who must get replacements. Delays from faulty items could lead to extra charges, us leaving the site, or affecting project deadlines.

  17. Any extra work requested during the ongoing project will incur additional charges. The client will be informed of the cost before any extra work is done, and their approval will be required.This quotation is open for acceptance for a period of 28 days providing the works can be commenced within 90 days both periods from the date of quotation and thereafter may be subject to revision or withdrawal.

  18. Payment terms are specified in the quote and must be followed. Late payments may incur 5% interest above Royal Bank of Scotland's base rate monthly.

  19. Excluding asbestos removal from quote; extra fee may apply.

  20. By agreeing to the quote, you accept these terms.

  21. Before working on gas appliances, we will test the gas supply to make sure it meets safety regulations. If any issues are found, we will inform the client and there may be extra charges for fixing them.

  22. If a power flush is needed for your heating system, it may reveal issues that could require extra repairs at additional cost. The process is usually safe, but weaknesses in the system may be exposed based on its condition.

  23. If a new heating boiler is connected to an existing system, higher pressures may reveal weaknesses. Repairs for such issues are not covered in this quote.

  24. Parking fees in Controlled Parking Zones are not included. Any incurred fees will be charged to the Client at cost.

  25. The Client must make sure kids and pets stay clear of our work areas.

  26. If you're doing work in a leased property, it's your job to get written permission from the landlord/management. We aren't responsible for work done without permission. We can share work details if needed, possibly with added cost.

  27. Payment is required upon finishing the agreed works. Late fees or interest may be added to unpaid invoices.

  28. Unauthorised use of content from Thermo-Tec Plumbing + Heating website and social media is not allowed without permission.
